Eb Sopranino
Manufacturer: Holton
Model: ?
Serial #: 112328
Finish: Silver plated
Source: saxquest.com on eBay.com
This very rare sax is not stamped "Holton", but according to Saxquest:
"Although there is no name stamped on the bell we know it is indeed a Holton instrument from the key mechanisms and pivot screws. Holton pivot screws were unique from C.G. Conn, Buescher, Martin and King and easily recognized by those with experience repairing vintage saxophones."
Apparently Saxquest has never seen another Holton 'nino before, nor have they seen one listed in any of the catalogues that they've looked through, which date through to the mid-30s. They stated that this horn was from 1932 (based on the serial # I presume).
