I have not seen many of these Präsident saxophones, so I cannot say with 100% certainty what the German spelling of President is all about. However, I can speculate that the German-spelled Präsident horns are the earliest incarnations of the President model saxophones that Max Keilwerth built. The very limited serial #'s that I have seen would back up this theory.

Furthermore, the saxophones that Max Keilwerth built can normally be clearly identified by the Pure Tone Trademark stamp just above the serial #. It is interesting to note that this stamp is missing on this horn. I further postulate that this Präsident was built before MK received his Trademark.
