This unique straight tenor saxophone was custom-made for saxophone player Oskar Gudjonsson in 1996 by the German saxophone manufacturer J. Keilwerth.
The instrument does not have lacquer or coating on it, and it does not have a high F#. With wooden key touch the grip is both warm and fun to play.
Included are two necks. One is a regular tenor neck and the other is an experimental neck, made by J. Keilwerth. It is less curved, similar to a bent soprano neck, and made from nickel silver, which results in a unique sound!
The sax comes in a custom-made flight case supplied by saxophone maker Stephan Bösken, which makes transport a breeze!
The pads have been replaced with handmade ones that do not have resonators and make the sound softer and more mystic. The saxophone was overhauled by Stephan Bösker 8 years ago and has not been in use for 6 years.
Used by a professional saxophone player for years!
