Gold Plate
As you can see, it's been on eBay twice. Below is from the original ad:
From the ebay ad:
Here's my one and only Selmer 26, manufactured exclusively for the clarinettist Ralph James (Sam Wooding Orchestra: http://www.redhotjazz.com/woodingo.html), that's why it has unusual D# trill and G# trill [keys].
This saxophone has been with me for three years now. Two years ago it went through all the needed renovations. It's in its prime condition, decorated with original purple nacre pads.
It's been in constant use and it plays great -- it's not easy for me to say goodbye! I want to sell it because I only use my tenor saxophone in my everyday work.
I have [had] mail [correspondence] with [a] Selmer saxophones expert and he think[s] that total number of [this] kind of Selmer would be very small, perhaps [only] 5 to 10 examples. So far, he [has] seen 5 examples of this kind. No one of 5 are exactly like the others, so each of them can be considered as unique.
(Pete) The reason I've included this horn under the Modele 28 is because this and the other amethyst finished horn I have pictures of have more of the characteristics of the Modele 28 than the New Largebore or Modele 26.
