First Cool Hive was a blues/rock band from Fredericton, NB. We performed original music, and our own unique version of rock, blues, and jazz classics.

This picture was taken by Gary Boole, for an article he wrote in the Fredericton Northside News.

Left to right back row: Charles Wilby (drums), Kim Richard (vocals) Tony Scott (bass). Front row: Peter Lochart (guitar and backup vocals), Helen Kahlke (tenor and baritone sax).

The band’s gigs included the 2001 Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, the 2002 Canada Day Block Party at Officer’s Square in Fredericton, the 2003 Canada Winter Games, and the 2003 Atlantic Balloon Fiesta.
