Symphonic

Symphonic Tenor

Serial #: 11599
Finish: Silver plated

 Source: saxontheweb.net

After nearly 3 years of trying to hunt down images of Dörfler & Jörka horns, this is still the only Symphonic saxophone that I have come across. I’m guessing that unlike Roxy, Senator, Voss, and René Dumont, the company who ordered the Symphonic stencil horns didn’t order a great many of them.

That said, if you are interested in comparing this Symphonic tenor to other D&J horns, check out the complete Dörfler & Jörka gallery of images (over 900 of them) on Bassic Sax Pix. There you will find a number of silver plated horns that strongly resemble this tenor, right down to the real mother of pearl (as opposed to the ersatz MOP we see on many D&J horns, like the René Dumont.)
