In about 1980, Tim Crawford bought the following horn from a friend’s father in Burlington, Ontario. His friend’s Dad owned and played it as a boy in the 1950s.

Tim paid about $100 for it, and then another $100 to a repair tech to get it fixed, setup properly, and cleaned. He used it for about 3 years while in school. Since then, it has basically spent the last 20 years as a closet horn.

Tim had hoped that his son might want to learn to play it, but his son recently said he wanted to learn how to play trumpet instead. So this old-timer may be destined to spend some more time in the closet.
