Couf serial number chart
H. Couf saxophones—at least those made in Germany by the Julius Keilwerth company—followed the JK serial # charts.
I am not suggesting that this serial # chart is entirely inclusive. It is possible that there are still horns out there that neither myself nor Uwe have come across, which may be outside the chart in either direction.

Credits & thanks
The foundation of the information for this page is mainly from Uwe Ladwig, in der deutschen Fachzeitschrift—German music journal—SONIC sax & brass, as well as his book: Saxophone: Ein Kompendium. (Both 2nd & 5th editions.) I then used his research as a basis to further my own.
Uwe’s information sources were Gerhard Keilwerth, Thomas Prem from Amati,
I would like to thank Uwe for so generously allowing me to use his research, and very much appreciate the trust he has shown by allowing me to do my own translation.
Vielen dank Uwe! Vielleicht findest Du die Information und Fotos interessant.
At this point I would like to once again thank Brian at Get A Sax, Paul from PM Woodwind, Roberto from Robertos Winds, Mark from USA Horn, as well as Chadd from World Wide Sax, for so generously allowing me to use their images throughout all these H. Couf saxophone pages. As you likely by now have noticed as you look through these and the other H. Couf pages, brilliant and clear images and vital in identifying the characteristics and features of this amazing horns built by the Julius Keilwerth company.
